Parents and teens have a collaborator in Nicola Metry Thompson. Nicola thrives on detangling the issues of getting your teens organised, focused and increase their capability to plan, achieve and obtain success and results. She aims to bring out the best in all those around her and see people be happier, healthier and flourish.

Nicola has trained and coached thousands of the best in multiple industries to become savvy in training, coaching and retaining good people within organisations. She has taken this executive and management coaching and applied it to the development of our emerging leaders of the future, to the young people who need it the most.

Nicola’s message is simple: It’s your talented teen, make them a more capable person. This is when they need it at the start of their adulthood, with more skills comes more opportunity. These skills become life skills you take with you when you finish your HSC. This is the time for you to invest in your child.

Nicola’s background is colourful. The daughter of a two immigrants, one a Scottish Lass who immigrated to Australia on her own and a young man from Lebanon who came here to seek and find his fortune. Nicola and her siblings were encouraged to gain a full education and grasp every opportunity that came her way.

With degrees in Business, Adult Education, and Organisational Coaching as well as over 30 years experience in Finance, TAFENSW, the Service Industry, Manufacturing, Sydney Olympics, and State and Local Government, Nicola has the depth and breadth of knowledge. This experience is now channeled into her business of developing young talent, our future leaders who are currently in their teens and 20s. Combined with over 3000 hours of coaching experience, Nicola has the depth of experience you would be looking for.

Her success goes well beyond her corporate experience. She draws on her demanding life experiences, her qualifications, her networks, and corporate and TAFE training to collaborate with young people to release their potential and obtain measurable results.

When Nicola is not working on her business, you can find her out being adventurous with her family; cycling, diving and travelling, or working on her urban church that she is currently converting into her new family home.

Nicola’s coaching style

Nicola is focused on Goal Setting and Achieving Results. It is important to set written goals as it increases the chance of successful attainment of those goals. She works as a catalyst, “I make things happen for people around me”. She is passionate about bringing out more in people than they ever imagined possible. Her focus is to empower people to take control of their lives and future directions.

Nicola’s style is direct, she likes to build trust, honesty and openness and will always give encouragement and point them in the right direction. She is encouraging and supportive – it is her way of dealing with life. She has strong intuition and a good gut feel about people, and can see the good in everyone and aims to bring it out. She likes to transform potential into the measurable results everyone is capable of.
